Role Summary/Purpose
As a Smallworld Developer , the occupant of this role will work as an effective agile team member under moderate guidance of a senior member in designing, implementing and writing unit/integration tests for user stories meeting functional and non-functional acceptance criteria.
Essential Responsibilities
*Development of user stories in Magik
*Unit and Integration testing
*Debug, Triage defects and provide defect fixes.
*Participate in Continuous Integration and Deployment, take care of build related issues
*As part of agile team, contribute towards Planning, Kick Off and Testing of user stories
Qualifications/Requirements
* Experienced Developer ( 3-4 years)
* Well practiced with Magik development and development methodologies
* Having earlier knowledge of upgrades will be beneficial.
* Knowledge with Data model and case tool
* Knowledge of upgrades implementation. Hands on implementation experience of upgrades is desired
* Well versed with agile methodologies (TDD, BDD), hand on experience is desired.
* Sound knowledge of Design patterns, ability to implement them in practice.
* Strong knowledge of triage and debugging skills.
* Excellent communicators with strong English verbal and written skills
* Knowledge of Java is desirable
* Earlier test/implementation experiences SmallWorld products is desired
