POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary objective of the Senior Software Developer is a leader within the development team who will help lead the development and maintenance efforts of one or more products within Identity Services Product Suite as well assist with any problems or technical risks throughout the project. The Senior Software Developer is expected to conceptualize software solutions into user-friendly software applications, provide application level architecture designs, and pay close attention to details.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate in the gathering and reviewing of business requirements and translating these into functional/technical designs.
· Develops detailed technical analysis and design specifications based on functional requirements
· Use object-oriented techniques and software engineering best practices including design review, code review, unit-testing, and re-factoring
· Participate in the development of code for J2EE software applications.
· Researches technical solutions to business problems
QUALIFICATIONS/ WORK EXPERIENCE:
· Strong understanding of Java best practices, system scalability, and performance tuning
· Solid Understanding of agile software development methodologies.
· Preferred Skills
o Java 1.5/1.6, J2EE, XML, SQL, JDBC, Web Services
o Eclipse
o SVN, Maven
o JUnit
o Spring (3.X preferred)
o Tomcat and any Webserver (apache preferably)
o Ajax or DWR (preferred)
o Javascript / JQuery
o Any cache (ehCache preferred)
